Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Facilities and Security Management to lead a multi-disciplinary team delivering Facilities, Catering, Domestic Services, Portering, Telephony, Post, Waste, Security, and car park management. You will drive safety, estates compliance and service quality.

The role requires senior management experience, NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications, and a strong focus on sustainability and cost-effective operations within a large NHS environment.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate and IOSH Certificate required or equivalent.
• Postgraduate qualification in business management or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a reactive and pressurised environment is essential.
• Knowledge of Estates & Facilities legislation and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage Facilities and Security teams across diverse services.
• Set objectives, monitor progress, and provide guidance to the department.
• Develop long-term strategic Facilities operational plans with the Director of Estates.
• Budget holder for Facilities with authority limits and procurement sign-off.
• Oversee annual appraisals, staff development, and mandatory training compliance.
• Ensure health, safety, fire safety and security governance across the Trust.
