Job summary

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) is seeking a Head of Estates to lead Hard FM, safety, compliance and resilience across East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.

You'll shape preventative maintenance, asset management and data-driven decision-making, while developing teams and delivering capital enhancements, including new facilities and theatre improvements. This is a senior leadership role within NHS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in engineering or technical estates management.
• Experience across statutory compliance, Hard FM, maintenance strategy, contractor management and budgets.
• Ability to work with clinical colleagues, make decisions under pressure and lead change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of Hard Facilities Management (Hard FM) and oversee safety, compliance, performance and resilience of the Trust's estate.
• Influence planned preventative maintenance, asset management and data-driven decision making.
• Address backlog maintenance challenges and support capital developments, including new facilities and theatre improvements.
• Develop and lead teams to foster a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
