Job summary

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust seeks an Estates Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership for critical engineering systems, ensuring safety, compliance and reliability across the estate. You will oversee specialist maintenance and planned preventative programmes, contribute to capital projects, and support on-call rotas and clinical staff with complex infrastructure guidance.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist technical leadership across the estate, keeping critical engineering systems safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
Maintain statutory compliance and deliver engineering assurance.
Give expert advice on complex infrastructure systems.
Oversee specialist maintenance contracts.
Oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes.
Lead engineering compliance initiatives.
Support delivery of capital and improvement projects across the Trust.
Support the safe operation of services that underpin patient care.
Contribute to the Estates on-call rota.
Act as a technical adviser to clinical and operational colleagues.
