Job Title: Head of Estates Engineering Services

Salary: To £88,000 per annum with excellent benefits package

Job Description:

Lead the strategic direction of all aspects of engineering services, creating a culture of exceptional service delivery focused on enhancing the visitor experience.

The estate of the Royal Ballet & Opera comprises three sites, including a historic theatre in Covent Garden, a production workshop in Thurrock, Essex, and a storage facility in Aberdare, Wales. These facilities support a complex schedule of opera and ballet productions, employing thousands of staff, artists, and creative professionals.

The Head of Estates Engineering Services will oversee strategic planning and delivery of engineering services across all sites, providing guidance on building and fabric maintenance, utilities, capital works, and energy-saving projects.

Ideal candidates will have proven leadership experience in engineering services within a comparable estate, with excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills. Proactivity and engagement are essential qualities.
