Job Title: Head of Estates Engineering Services

Salary: Up to £88,000 per annum with excellent benefits package

Job Overview

Lead the strategic direction of all engineering services, creating a culture of exceptional service delivery focused on enhancing the visitor experience.

Organisation Details

The Royal Ballet & Opera estate comprises three sites: the main site in Covent Garden with a 2,000+ seated theatre dating from 1858, a redeveloped stage, rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, workshops, offices, and ancillary spaces, completed in 1999. Additional sites include a second theatre and refreshed front of house spaces delivered via the Open Project in 2018, a Production Workshop and Costume Centre in Thurrock, Essex, and a 14,000m2 store in Aberdare, Wales.

Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership for strategic planning and delivery of engineering services across all sites.
2. Offer professional guidance on building and fabric maintenance, utilities, installation, capital works engineering, energy-saving, and carbon reduction projects.
3. Manage stakeholder engagement and lead a team effectively.

Candidate Profile

Proven experience in leading engineering services within a live operational complex estate. Outstanding stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills are essential. Proactive and engaging approach required.
