Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking an Environment & Sustainability Manager to lead environmental and carbon strategy across Heathrow capital works. You will embed sustainability requirements from design through handover, coordinating with project teams, procurement, and Heathrow stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have ISO 14001/50001 experience, a degree in environmental management, and strong leadership skills to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced construction setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in environmental and sustainability management within construction, infrastructure or major project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and EMS.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001/50001 in projects or operations.
• Knowledge of PAS 2080, carbon management and low-carbon design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental and sustainability management across Heathrow projects, ensuring contract and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement EMPs, SWMPs, carbon and energy management plans.
• Embed carbon reduction, responsible procurement and biodiversity into design and construction.
• Provide leadership and technical support to project teams and supply chain partners.
• Lead environmental inspections, audits and corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs for waste, carbon, energy, water and biodiversity.
