Job summary

AlbaCo Ltd in East Kilbride is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead our engineering function, delivering scalable, secure and innovative technology solutions to support growth. This onsite role with flexible arrangements offers a senior leadership opportunity to shape technology strategy and drive execution across product, operations and the business.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience including full-stack development.
• Proven track record building high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience leading complex technology programmes delivering business-critical solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern delivery practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Drive the successful delivery of technology projects and product initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Champion modern engineering practices, Agile delivery and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the security, resilience, scalability and performance of our technology platforms.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous learning.
• Provide technical leadership and trusted advice to senior stakeholders and the Executive team.
• Manage third-party technology partners and suppliers to support successful delivery.
