Job summary

Allica Bank is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain a secure, high-performance platform across the organisation. You will lead a talented team, provide technical leadership and promote Infrastructure as Code practices.

Based primarily at home, you will occasionally collaborate in Milton Keynes or London offices, driving cross-functional work with developers, security and sysadmins to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in platform engineering within Azure Cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management.
• Proven leadership experience in leading teams and managing projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Azure-based platforms and cloud environments.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of platforms using IaC (Terraform).
• Develop and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure deployments and automation.
• Collaborate with software developers, security teams, and sysadmins to integrate solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Platform engineering team.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud platform technologies and trends.
