Job summary

EKFB is seeking a Head of Disciplines in Milton Keynes to lead structures, drainage, geotechnical, rail systems, and environmental teams. You will ensure technical competence, drive cross-disciplinary handover documentation, and coordinate with design consultants and clients to resolve issues.

You will also manage resources, reporting, and meetings with client and suppliers, ensuring contractual entitlement and balance between efficiency and adequate resourcing for programme delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered (CEng MICE) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Ability to lead and manage teams, maintaining focus on priorities.
• Evidencable negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• NEC3/4 Project Management Accreditation or extensive NEC contract experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate disciplines: structures & drainage, geotechnical, rail systems, environmental.
• Drive programme across disciplines for handover delivery documentation.
• Own relationships with design consultants and client representatives; manage specialist consultants.
• Maintain reporting to senior leadership and chair client/supply meetings.
