EKFB is seeking a Head of Disciplines in Milton Keynes to lead structures & drainage, geotechnical, rail systems and environmental disciplines. You will drive technical handover and ensure compliance across projects, coordinating with design consultants and clients.

You will guide discipline teams, manage specialist consultants, and oversee resource planning, reporting, and cross-project challenges to deliver to programme goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing major engineering projects and complex challenges.
• Chartered engineer (CEng MICE) or equivalent.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate disciplines: structures, drainage, geotechnical, rail systems and environment.
• Maintain technical competence within discipline teams to meet programme needs.
• Drive programme across disciplines for technical handover documentation.
• Manage specialist consultants and ensure contractual entitlement with client and supply chain.
• Own relationships with design consultants and client representatives.
• Provide direction to project teams on non-standard and cross-project challenges.
• Maintain weekly/monthly reporting to senior leadership; chair client/supplier meetings.
• Control resource levels and forecast needs to balance efficiency and capacity.
• Support and enable resolution of issues requiring multi-discipline input.
