A growing academy in the UK seeks an experienced teacher to lead the Design & Technology department starting January 2026. The ideal candidate will support student engagement and improve outcomes through innovative teaching. Previous experience at KS3 and KS4 is required, along with a commitment to the school's values and ethos.
An exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, to lead the Design & Technology department at this successful and growing academy from January 2026. We wish to appoint an ambitious, enthusiastic teacher with a passion for Design & Technology based subjects. This is a full time, permanent post.
Having achieved excellent results in summer 2025, Buckler’s Mead Academy is going from strength to strength. Our most recent Ofsted, in May 2024, judged us as a strong ‘Good’ in all areas. Technology subjects are very popular and we welcome interest from applicants with a wide range of backgrounds and subject specialisms, including Textiles, 3D Product Design, Resistant Materials or Engineering. The successful candidate will ensure the continuation of high quality, engaging teaching which promotes a love of Technology subjects. They will have a passion and drive to ensure all students engage in a broad and balanced curriculum. We are looking for knowledgeable candidates who share our vision and values and will create a strategic, ambitious vision for the development and growth of the department, and take swift and effective steps to bring it to fruition.
