Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Head of Technical Services (Critical Systems) for the NESO contract, based primarily at sites in Wokingham and Reading with potential national scope.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior engineering leadership within critical environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, compliance and governance.
• Ability to identify risks and drive technical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Safe Systems of Work, SOPs, EOPs and electrical compliance (within NESO).
• Oversee performance, maintenance and reliability of critical M&E infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and client standards.
• Conduct audits and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Act as SME for technical excellence across the contract.
• Provide guidance on maintenance strategy and asset lifecycle.
• Identify risks and opportunities across plant and infrastructure.
• Drive a culture of consistency and operational excellence.
• Maintain resilience of HV/LV, UPS and backup power systems.
• Proactively identify upgrades to maintain uptime and resilience.
• Lead on engineering risk management and incident investigations.
• Engage with NESO client team and present technical recommendations.
