Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited (NESO) seeks a Senior Manager – Enterprise Tooling & Automation to shape and scale the enterprise tooling ecosystem across the SDLC, IT4IT and AI-enabled tooling. Hybrid work from Wokingham or Warwick, with travel to NESO sites as needed.

Lead a cross-functional team, define tooling strategy, manage vendor relationships, and drive transformation across engineering, finance, architecture and procurement. Strong strategic and stakeholder skills required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise tooling and transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Own & lead the Enterprise Tooling Function, defining future-state tooling.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive tooling strategy across the business and aligns to Agile DevSecOps outcomes.
• Consolidate tooling to avoid overlapping purposes across areas.
• Support AI Ops ambitions by unifying platforms and tooling.
• Manage vendor interactions including licensing, approvals, and timelines.
• Implement the tooling strategy across the organisation and drive digitalisation.
• Own certificate and license management and ensure timely renewals.
• Lead and coach the existing team, supporting career growth and capability development.
• Performance manage and develop managers in the team.
