Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Head of Technical Services (Critical Systems) in the Wokingham/Reading area to lead technical assurance across the NESO contract. The role combines deep technical knowledge with hands-on leadership to ensure safety, compliance and high uptime.

You will act as the technical authority, oversee critical M&E infrastructure, and drive improvements while engaging with the NESO client team and site stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer (IET/CIBSE) with professional registration.
• HV/LV electrical background with Authorised Person experience.
• Experience in critical environments (data centres, CNI, control rooms).
• Strong understanding of compliance, safety standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead on technical assurance, safety systems and electrical compliance.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability of critical M&E infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory and client standards; perform audits and improvements.
