Job Description:

Our client is seeking an interim Head of Credit Risk with extensive mortgage experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• A proven career working within mortgages
• Practical experience managing credit risk through the entire credit cycle
• Experience with expert and judgmental lending approaches, as well as portfolio/modelled approaches to credit risk management
• Experience developing, implementing, and embedding risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal teams and external partners
• Experience enhancing management information capabilities for oversight and decision-making
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and understanding of UK banking/financial market trends and upcoming regulatory changes
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in business-as-usual operations
• Prior experience presenting to Boards, Non-executive Directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams and the wider organization
