Job summary

Citizen, the West Midlands housing provider, seeks a Head of Compliance to lead landlord compliance and building safety across its housing portfolio and ensure regulatory assurance. The role delivers multi-million-pound programmes and collaborates with regulators to uphold safety standards.

The successful candidate will hold a built environment degree, CIOB Level 6 in building safety, and strong knowledge of PAS 8673:2022, with a full UK driving license and proven leadership in complex

Qualifications

• A degree level or equivalent qualification in a recognised discipline in the built environment.
• CIOB level 6 in building safety (or equivalent).
• Extensive knowledge of applicable compliance and building safety legislation, guidance and standards and competencies including PAS 8673:2022.
• Knowledge of the ongoing management of safety in the built environment, with knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
• Full UK driving license.

• Act as the organisation's competent person and subject matter expert for landlord compliance and safety of the home obligations.
• Management of statutory and regulatory compliance risks.
• Delivery of compliance investment and servicing programmes exceeding £30m annually.

Position: Head of Compliance

Salary: £94,871

Location: 4040 Lakeside, Birmingham Business Park, B37 7YN (hybrid)

• Act as the organisation's competent person and subject matter expert for landlord compliance and safety of the home obligations.
• Management of statutory and regulatory compliance risks.
• Delivery of compliance investment and servicing programmes exceeding £30m annually.
