Job summary

Citizen is seeking a Head of Compliance to lead landlord compliance and safety across the housing portfolio. The role oversees statutory and regulatory compliance risks, delivers compliance investment and servicing programmes, and drives regulatory engagement to assure organisation-wide safety.

Based at 4040 Lakeside, Birmingham Business Park with hybrid working, you will shape policy, lead a talented team, and partner with senior leaders to uphold the highest standards of building safety for

Qualifications

• Degree in a recognised built environment discipline.
• CIOB level 6 or equivalent in building safety.
• Knowledge of applicable compliance and building safety legislation, guidance and standards (PAS 8673:2022).
• Experience managing safety in built environment contexts and knowledge of CDM 2015.

Position: Head of Compliance

Salary: £94,871

Location: 4040 Lakeside, Birmingham Business Park, B37 7YN (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the organisation's competent person and subject matter expert for landlord compliance and safety of the home obligations.
• Management of statutory and regulatory compliance risks.
• Delivery of compliance investment and servicing programmes exceeding £30m annually.
• Regulatory engagement and organisational assurance.

Qualifications and experience:

• A degree level or equivalent qualification in a recognised discipline in the built environment
• CIOB level 6 in building safety (or equivalent)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable compliance and building safety legislation, guidance and standards and competencies including PAS 8673:2022
• Knowledge of the ongoing management of safety in the built environment, with knowledge of the application of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
• Full UK driving license
