Your role / what will you do?

As a central member of the Commercial & Asset Management team in BU Offshore Generation, you will be instrumental in driving our mission towards a fossil free future through commercial mindset, strategic collaboration and innovative commercial management. Your role will encompass developing and managing the operational setup, optimising opex, and negotiating associated contracts such as SWA, harbours, facilities, and logistics. You will establish and maintain strategic agreements with other developers, ensuring seamless commercial and contract management throughout the project lifecycle, from TG0 to end-of-life.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Driving commercial strategy development, setting long-term goals, identifying commercial opportunities, and defining tactics needed for financial success.
  • Managing contracts with suppliers and partners, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and protecting our interests, and enabling cost efficient, safe and derisked site operations. Close collaboration with Operations is crucial.
  • Driving data insight with procurement to enable smart supply strategies and efficient demand processes
  • Serving as the primary interface between Generation and Procurement, Development, and pre-TG3 Project Organisations, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with aim to maximize value.
  • Developing and managing O&M Building Blocks for bidding activities, including technology decisions, to support our strategic goals.
  • Leading decisions on industry collaboration strategies and developer cooperation agreements to enhance our competitive edge.

A successful candidate will achieve remarkable results by establishing a clear strategic direction for the department, supported by a framework of continuous improvement. You will maintain an optimal organisational structure, balancing capability and capacity with tasks and workload, and develop standards, policies, and procedures to establish best practices and standardise existing processes. In this position, you will interact with various stakeholders, including all parts of Generation, procurement, , legal, suppliers, peers and other external partners.

You will regularly report on commercial performance, financial metrics, and key performance indicators for transparency and informed decision-making. Your ability to enable revenue growth while balancing cost optimisation and efficiencies related to external spend will be crucial in maximising profitability through cost control and financial analysis.

Qualifications

Your profile / who are you?

You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic and operational procurement, commercial management, and cost optimisation, including 5 years in an offshore wind environment. Your extensive background in operational, contractual, and technological optimisations equips you to navigate complex commercial landscapes and make informed decisions that drive success. You excel in negotiation and have a proven track record of building effective commercial strategies that deliver results.

Your strong communication skills enable you to present ideas clearly and persuasively, fostering relationships and influencing stakeholders across different cultures and geographical locations. You are highly self-motivated, with a flexible approach to work that allows you to adapt to changing circumstances and thrive in dynamic environments.

You enjoy working collaboratively, serving as the primary interface between Generation and Procurement, Development and Pre-FID Project Organisations. You are adept at developing strategic agreements and managing contracts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and protecting interests. Your ability to manage OPEX across different stages and drive financial performance through cost control and analysis is essential for maximising profitability and efficiency. You are a strong escalation point for final high-profile negotiations.
