Job summary

Stonewater Housing Association is seeking a Director of Building Safety & Compliance to lead safety culture and ensure all statutory requirements are met across a national remit. You will drive robust auditing, oversee the Health & Safety Group and coordinate governance for multiple teams, including Fire Safety, Building Safety and Compliance Administration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety inspection teams across residential portfolios.
• Knowledge of Social Housing Policy and Practice.
• Knowledge of regulatory framework in England and Scotland.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.
• Experience managing budgets to ensure value for money.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to drive a safety culture across the organisation and ensure statutory requirements are met.
• Oversee robust auditing processes to assure compliance with legislation.
• Lead Health & Safety Group to drive improvements in all aspects of Health & Safety.
• Utilise reporting tools for reporting, policy development and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate two key areas: people safety and policy effectiveness for compliant, safe properties.
• Oversee Building Safety & Compliance team and governance arrangements.
