Job summary

Cazoo is seeking a Head of Business Intelligence & Performance Reporting to build the function from the ground up at one of the UK's most ambitious automotive marketplace challengers.

Reporting into the Director of Analytics, you will own the BI & Performance Reporting layer of our Decision Intelligence stack, the semantic models, report catalogue, KPI framework and self-service infrastructure that give every part of the business a clear, trusted and timely view of what is happening.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in BI for fast-paced digital, e-commerce or marketplace environments.
• Expert Power BI with semantic modelling, DAX, and data governance.
• Advanced SQL across large cloud datasets; ability to coach others.
• Experience building/working with a semantic/data model layer; dbt is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate data into action.
• Knowledge of BI operating models: intake, SLAs, versioning and governance.
• Hands-on as a player-coach in Power BI and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute BI strategy, roadmaps, and operating model for the function.
• Own Power BI environment, governance, and semantic model development.
• Lead delivery of KPI reports, self-service analytics, and real-time telemetry.
• Mentor and grow a team of BI & Performance Reporting Developers.
• Drive data democratisation and self-service enablement across the business.
