Job summary

Union Maritime seeks a Head of Analytics to lead the group’s data, analytics and digital capability. You will own modelling, market data and AI initiatives to accelerate decision‑making and financial analyses across the fleet and operations.

The role requires strong technical depth in data, BI and automation, plus leadership to modernise how the team works with data across global offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of analytics experience in shipping, maritime, logistics, commodities or asset‑intensive industries.
• Strong technical analytics background with Excel, Power BI and data modelling.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills with experience in transaction analysis.
• Experience applying automation and AI tools to analytics and business workflows.
• Proven track record delivering digital transformation from roadmap to adoption.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical data products.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, with senior leadership.
• Experience leading distributed, multi‑location teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction analysis and modelling for vessel acquisitions, fleet renewal and strategic deals.
• Build, own and modernise analytical and financial models with version control.
• Provide robust analysis and models for deals, with scenario and sensitivity testing.
• Set modelling standards, templates and review processes for consistency and auditability.
• Present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Source, curate and maintain market data and market intelligence across the group.
• Develop data products and analytical tools used daily by operating functions.
• Lead digitalisation, automation and AI initiatives across the business.
• Define data architecture and governance with IT for a single source of truth.
• Lead Analytics team across global offices and promote data literacy.
