Job summary

Union Maritime Ltd. in London seeks a Head of Analytics to lead the group's analysis, data and digital capability, including modelling, market data, automation and AI to speed decision-making.

The new Head should bring hands-on credibility in data, financial modelling, BI, automation and applied AI, with leadership to modernise how the group works with data. You will oversee data foundations, governance and the analytics team, delivering measurable business benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Shipping or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of analytics experience in shipping, maritime, logistics, commodities, energy, or asset-intensive industries.
• Strong technical analytics background with hands-on proficiency in advanced Excel, Power BI and data modelling.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with experience in transaction analysis including scenario and sensitivity models.
• Experience applying automation and AI tools to analytics and business workflows.
• Track record of delivering digital transformation from roadmap to adoption and of leading change.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and data products.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to challenge senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of vessel acquisitions, disposals, and strategic transactions including modelling and valuation.
• Build, own and modernise analytical and financial models with standards and version control.
• Provide analysis and models underpinning deals, with scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Set modelling standards, templates and review processes for robust, auditable work.
• Present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Source and maintain market data and intelligence for the group; manage data feeds and quality controls.
• Automate manual processes and modernise models and workflows; drive adoption of new tools.
• Develop data products used by operating functions and embed AI with clear use cases and controls.
• Define data architecture with IT to create a single source of truth; ensure data governance and security.
• Lead and develop the analytics team; promote best practices and cross-functional collaboration.
