Job summary

Bombardier Services (UK) at the Biggin Hill Service Center in London is seeking an Operations Director - Line Maintenance to lead the Aircraft Maintenance department, overseeing daily operations, safety, and performance across multiple sites.

You will manage budgets, drive cost efficiency, ensure compliance with EASA/CAA and IOSH guidelines, mentor staff, and develop strategic plans for new programs in a fast-growing European network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent years of experience.
• Working knowledge of process improvement methodology.
• Familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations.
• Accounting and budgeting acumen to read profit/loss statements and financial reports.
• Experience supervising staff and leading teams.
• Experience in AOG/Line Maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to interface with customers and manage expectations.
• Strong planning, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned aircraft maintenance employees and daily/overall operations of the maintenance department.
• Develop annual budget including workforce requirements and approve vendor invoices.
• Achieve monthly financial objectives: labor margin, capex, Opex.
• Ensure maintenance meets EASA/CAA regulations and customer quality expectations.
• Maintain safety compliance with IOSH guidelines and environmental laws.
• Coordinate customer communication, resolve disputes and manage invoiced work.
• Identify staff training needs and ensure workforce qualifications.
• Ensure tooling and equipment support operational needs and drive continuous improvement.
