Job summary

Santander is seeking a Head of Accounting Products, Data and Control in Milton Keynes. You will lead about 30 colleagues across Accounting Data, Accounting Products and Accounting Control, driving data governance and robust financial controls.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Control, you will partner with Finance, Technology, Risk and business stakeholders, ensuring SOX compliance and high-quality financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large finance functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management with Executive and Senior Management engagement.
• Experience managing accounting systems, controls and reporting environments.
• Significant people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting Data, Accounting Products and Accounting Control teams.
• Own Accounting Master Data, Chart of Accounts, Data Lineage and Data Quality governance.
• Ensure robust controls and reconciliations over data ingestion into Oracle and Finance systems.
• Manage key accounting applications including Oracle GL, EPM, Data Lake, AFCS, OIC, ODI and SAP finance solutions.
• Drive automation, continuous improvement and control standardisation.
• Partner with Finance, Technology, Risk and business stakeholders.
• Support audits, regulatory compliance and SOX controls.
• Oversee legal entity reporting submissions and system integrity.
