Job summary

Santander is seeking a Business Manager for Milton Keynes to lead budget planning, forecasting, and financial governance in a dynamic technology-driven unit. You will own end-to-end financial performance, deliver insights to senior leaders, and drive cost optimisation across T&O Office.

The role requires strong Excel modelling, finance qualification progress, and excellent communication with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in financial management, planning, forecasting and control within a complex business environment.
• Experience managing budgets, P&L performance, financial reporting and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Experience leading optimisation, transformation or efficiency initiatives and improving governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes for the business area, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
• Managing end-to-end financial performance tracking, including P&L analysis, risks/opportunities, and management insight.
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing financial control and governance frameworks to support accuracy, compliance and decision-making.
• Providing strategic financial analysis, scenario modelling and insight for investment decisions and business planning.
• Coordinating governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement across teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Driving cost optimisation, efficiency and strong risk/control practices across the function.
• Ensuring accurate capacity planning and alignment of Workforce Strategy recommendations.
