Job summary

The Inn Collection Group is seeking a proactive Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team at a cosy Northallerton pub with rooms. You will oversee room and public area cleaning, maintain high standards, and ensure a welcoming environment for guests and locals alike.

You will manage linen, supplies, training, and safety, reporting to the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a housekeeping team.
• Excellent guest-facing communication and problem-solving.
• Ability to train and develop staff to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of rooms and public areas to ensure spotless presentation.
• Promptly report maintenance issues and coordinate with maintenance team.
• Manage linen and supplies, ensure stock levels and correct usage.
• Train and mentor new and existing staff for consistent performance.
• Follow safety guidelines and work with GM to ensure smooth operations.

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
