Job summary

The Ullswater Inn, part of the Inn Collection Group, is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead a friendly, detail-oriented housekeeping team in the Lake District. You will ensure spotless rooms and public areas, respond promptly to guest requests, and uphold high standards throughout.

As part of the housekeeping team, you’ll train staff, manage supplies, and report to the General Manager, guiding operations with professionalism and a strong guest-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of rooms and public areas to ensure spotless, welcoming environments.

• Manage linen, supplies and staffing for the housekeeping team.
• Train new and existing staff and lead by example.
• Maintain safety standards and provide regular updates to the General Manager.

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
