Job summary

Thwaites is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead our busy Housekeeping team and ensure thousands of guests experience wonderful stays in immaculate rooms. You will implement cleanliness standards, mentor staff, and respond to guest requests with professionalism.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly across the property to meet targets and maintain brand standards.

Qualifications

• Keen eye for detail and targets driven.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including team and wider property.
• Calm under pressure and adapt to unexpected circumstances.
• Supervisory or management experience in housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement cleanliness and presentation standards for rooms.
• Mentor the housekeeping team to maintain high standards.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure tasks are completed within set timeframes.
• Ensure property procedures are followed by the team.
• Induct and train new team members.
• Control stock ordering and linen management.
• Provide hands-on support to the team.

As Head Housekeeper, you will lead our busy Housekeeping team and ensure thousands of guests experience wonderful stays in immaculate rooms

Your day to day;

• Implementation of the required standards of cleanliness and presentation of rooms
• Mentor your team to ensure they provide the highest standards and attention to detail at all times
• Responding to guest requests and issues in a professional manner and rectifying any problems as soon as possible
• Ensuring the team are completing their work within a set time frame.
• Ensuring the property procedures are followed by the team
• Carrying out induction and training of new team members
• Control of stock ordering and linen management
• Hands on to support the team as required

Who we are looking for;

The standards of our bedrooms will leave a lasting impression on our guests, as Head Housekeeper, you will need a keen eye for detail and enjoy meeting targets

You will need to be able to communicate on all levels, including to your team and across the wider property

You will need to keep calm under pressure, reacting effortlessly to unexpected circumstances and taking them in your stride

If you are passionate about delivering meticulous standards and can motivate others to do this, then this could be the role for you

Ideally you will have previous supervisory or management experience, ideally within a Housekeeping function
