Job summary

The Club Company is seeking a Head Housekeeper at our Colchester club to lead the housekeeping team, oversee scheduling, inspections, and supplies, ensuring the highest standards for guest stays. You will coordinate with departments, manage lost-and-found, and drive deep-cleaning efforts for events under the Hotel Manager, delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Club/resort or hospitality housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the housekeeping team's work to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Schedule shifts and inspect the team's work to ensure guest comfort and brand standards.
• Manage supplies, lost-and-found items, and coordinate maintenance/repairs as needed.
• Coordinate deep cleaning activities for events and peak periods.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience and report to the Hotel Manager.

The Role:

Are you passionate about maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our team and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

In this key role, you'll supervise and plan the work of our housekeeping team, making sure that tasks are completed to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for scheduling shifts, inspecting the team’s work, and ensuring we’re always stocked up on supplies. You’ll also take charge of lost and found items, reporting any maintenance or repair needs, and coordinating deep cleaning activities to keep the hotel pristine. You’ll collaborate with other departments for special events and regularly inspect facilities to maintain cleanliness, safety, and health standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will be reporting to the Hotel Manager, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring every guest has a memorable stay.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Club, resort or other hospitality industry housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory role

Schedule:

• We operate a 7-days a week business, between 0600 to 2300
• Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours - weekends and bank holidays
