Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a Head Chef to lead the Estero Lounge kitchen. You will oversee a hands-on team, maintain high cooking standards and drive a culture of excellence.

The role offers a permanent full-time contract with a 48-hour week (40-hour option), a competitive base salary plus bonus and overtime, and clear progression opportunities. You’ll recruit, develop and coach the kitchen team, ensure menu specs are followed and KPIs are met, and work closely with front-of-house to build a true

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef.
• Hands-on leader with ability to build and coach teams.
• Strong knowledge of menu specs, kitchen processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the kitchen at Estero Lounge, leading every shift from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach kitchen staff from KPs to Sous Chefs with clear development plans.
• Know menu specs inside out and ensure dishes leave the pass to standard.
• Own site-level action plan with the GM covering wait times, standards, ordering, stock and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP; report performance.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned with sales and bookings; ensure coverage by skilled staff.
• Collaborate with front of house to foster a one-team culture and cross-training.
