Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Gallico Lounge. You’ll run a hands-on operation, build a motivated team and ensure every dish leaves the pass to the highest standard.

This role comes with a competitive salary, a bonus scheme, overtime pay and genuine progression opportunities across Loungers’ growing estate. 48-hour contract (40-hour option) and 50% food and drink discount from day one.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of kitchen teams (KP, Chefs, Sous Chefs).
• Ability to recruit, coach and develop staff with clear plans.
• Strong understanding of menu specs and kitchen processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Gallico Lounge kitchen on every shift.
• Recruit, develop and coach kitchen staff across levels.
• Maintain high food standards and correct dish execution at the pass.
• Own site-level action plans for wait times, stock and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: quality, wait times, wastage and GP.
• Create fair rotas aligned to sales and bookings.
