Loungers is hiring a full-time Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Merletto Lounge, a local café bar within the Loungers family. This hands-on role emphasizes building strong kitchen teams, maintaining high standards, and driving growth across a growing hospitality brand with clear progression opportunities.

You will manage a 48-hour contract (40-hour option available), enjoy overtime pay, a bonus scheme, and benefits that support a rewarding career as you shape the kitchen across the group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef or Kitchen Manager or Senior Sous Chef.
• Proven track record leading and developing kitchen teams.
• Strong focus on high standards, consistency and cost control.

Responsabilités

• Take full ownership of the kitchen at Merletto Lounge and lead every shift from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach your kitchen team at all levels with clear development plans.
• Master menu specs and kitchen processes to ensure every dish leaves the pass perfectly.
• Own site-level action plan with the GM covering wait times, standards, ordering and stock.
• Deliver on KPIs: food quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP; report on performance.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned with sales and bookings; ensure right skills per shift.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to build a true one-team culture and cross-train.
