Job summary

Loungers is hiring a full-time Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Vintro Lounge, a local café bar within the Loungers family. We’re seeking a hands-on leader who loves real cooking, building teams and running a kitchen like it’s their own.

You’ll own the site, manage a team from KPs to Sous Chefs, uphold high standards, and drive food quality, efficiency and guest satisfaction. A competitive base salary with bonus and overtime awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in high-volume kitchens and staff development.
• Strong understanding of menu specs, sourcing and kitchen processes.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing GP, labour and stock to drive profitability.
• Proven ability to lead a team through busy services and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the kitchen at Vintro Lounge, leading every shift from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach your kitchen team from KPs to Sous Chefs with clear development plans.
• Know our menu specs and processes inside out and ensure every dish leaves the pass correctly.
• Own a site-level action plan covering wait times, standards, ordering, stock counts and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: food quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP, reporting on performance.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned with sales and bookings forecast to ensure capability.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to foster a one-team culture and cross-training.
