Job summary

Loungers is hiring a full-time Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Head Office, a brand-new site within a growing hospitality group. You will manage the kitchen from opening to close, recruit and coach a team, and ensure every dish meets high standards while maintaining GP targets.

You’ll work with Head Office leadership to shape a one-team culture with Front of House, drive performance, and develop staff through in-house training and progression plans.

Qualifications

• Must be a hands-on Head Chef or Kitchen Manager with real cooking skills.
• Experience in leading kitchen teams and driving performance.
• Strong understanding of GP, wastage and stock management.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the Head Office kitchen, leading shifts from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach kitchen staff across all levels.
• Know menu specs and kitchen processes inside out to ensure consistency.
• Own site-level action plan with the GM covering wait times, standards, ordering, stock and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: quality, wait times, wastage, safety and GP; report on performance.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned with sales and bookings forecasts.
• Collaborate with front of house to build a one-team culture with cross-training.
