We are looking for a Hatchery Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team at our Butterwick hatchery. This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same, supporting the hatchery management team with the day-to-day running of the facility.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role. You will be on your feet for much of the working day and the role involves lifting, carrying and moving items, including some heavier loads. A good level of physical fitness and the ability to safely undertake manual handling activities is therefore required.
The position is an early shift, working from 2:30am until 11:00am.
The role is 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday, with the working days varying depending on hatchery production requirements. Saturday working is currently on an ad-hoc basis but is becoming increasingly required, so flexibility to work Saturdays is essential.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and keen to learn. You don't need previous hatchery experience - full training will be provided for the right person.
Join the Annyalla Chicks team and play an important role in bringing healthy, high-quality day-old chicks into the world.
