Job summary

Annyalla Chicks Ltd is recruiting a Hatchery Assistant at its Butterwick hatchery. This is a hands-on role supporting the hatchery management team with day-to-day operations to ensure healthy, high-quality day-old chicks are produced.

The role is physically demanding, requiring early starts (2:30am–11:00am) and willingness to learn. Training will be provided; prior hatchery experience is not required.

Qualifications

• No hatchery experience required; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production of healthy, high-quality day-old chicks.
• Assist with chick take-off and grading.
• Monitor hygiene and biosecurity standards.
• Keep hatchery areas clean, safe and tidy.
• Follow animal welfare and health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with hatchery management team.
