Job summary

Avara Foods Limited operates a hatchery in Romsey, Hampshire, seeking a Hatchery Operative for a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2027. No prior experience required; full training provided.   • Assist in the movement of eggs from storage to incubating machines and then to hatching machines.
  • Clean all equipment after use to the required high standards.
  • Safeguard bio security and follow strict procedures.
  • Observe bird welfare and health and safety on site at all times.

About the Role:

We are looking for motivated people to join our team as a Hatchery Operative based at our Hatchery in Romsey, Hampshire

No experience necessary, full training is provided!

This is a FTC until the end of December 2027

Purpose of the role

As a Hatchery Operative, working as a part of the Hatchery Team, you’ll help assist the hatchery and play a key role in the daily duties which are fundamental to our entire business.

Key responsibilities will include:
