Job summary

The Focusrite Group invites you to join our electronics hardware and firmware team for a 12-month placement across Focusrite, Focusrite Pro and Novation. You will gain hands-on experience working with hardware labs, prototypes, and production engineering on real products.

You’ll service lab facilities, assemble prototypes, source components, and contribute to schematic and firmware work. The role offers London or UK opportunities with a salary of £26,250 (£28,900 in London) and employee

Qualifications

Passionate about hardware and firmware work.
Interest in audio and music technologies.
Personal technology projects or collaborations with others.

Responsibilities

Running and maintaining the electronics hardware lab facilities.
Assembling and fault-finding prototypes by hand, including soldering and CAD-assisted builds.
Assisting Production Engineering to identify component alternatives for current product lines.
Ordering, sourcing and maintaining stock of components/PCBs during development.
Design work on new projects, including schematic capture, PCB layout and firmware development.
Year-long placement with a focus on hardware and firmware projects.
Interest in audio and music technologies.
Technology projects you’ve undertaken and collaboration experiences.
