Job summary

Focusrite in High Wycombe is offering a 12-month placement in our embedded software team. You will work with experienced engineers on real products, gaining hands-on experience across software, hardware, and development tooling.

The role requires a keen interest in firmware, strong C/C++, some Python, and practical debugging skills. You will collaborate across hardware, QA and production engineering, with opportunities to contribute to multi-disciplinary product development.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in C/C++ and some Python.
• Familiarity with version control, build and test automation, or CI.
• Good problem-solving and hands-on debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the embedded software team to deliver features.
• Develop tools, scripts and automation to improve workflows.
• Assist in debugging and testing on real hardware.
• Contribute to maintenance of products and systems.
• Own your learning and adapt quickly to feedback.
