Job summary

Isle of Man Public Service Careers is seeking an Asset Technician for the Harbours Division. You will apply electrical or mechanical expertise to maintain, repair and improve equipment across harbour assets, from bridge systems to marina gear and safety systems.

You will join a multi-skilled maintenance team, diagnosing faults, performing planned maintenance and responding to essential repairs, with opportunities to develop skills through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical background essential for maintaining, repairing and improving harbour equipment.
• Experience with fault finding and planned maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to work with multi-skilled teams and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve harbour equipment across Island harbours.
• Find and fix faults, carry out planned maintenance and respond to essential repairs.
• Work with a multi-skilled team to keep assets operating safely and reliably.
• Access ongoing training to expand technical capabilities across systems.
