Job summary

PRS in Leicester is seeking a reliable Handyperson to join a small maintenance team at a static site. The role runs from 1pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday, with no on-call requirements. The basic salary is £30,000 per year, and there are 25 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays.

You will perform planned preventive maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor project tasks, while ensuring health and safety compliance and logging work. A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within set timescales on floors, doors, ceilings, walls and basic carpentry/plumbing/painting.

• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and liaise with client representatives; log works and update tasks using mobile devices.

We are recruting for a maintenance handyperson to join a small team working at a static site in Leicester. This position is working from 1pm to 9pm, Monday - Friday, with no on call requirement for this role.

Main Duties for this role

• Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within set timescales, carrying out maintenance on floors, doors, ceilings, wall coverings, basic plumbing, and carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Undertaking minor project works when required.
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance, liaising with client representatives, using mobile devices to log works and update tasks.
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Contract Manager.

Person specification for this role.

• The ideal candidate should have proven experience in maintenance work, and be able to turn their hand to most aspects of D.I.Y.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A full UK driving licence is also required.
