Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a reliable Handyman to support the maintenance team at a busy student accommodation site in Manchester. Working 24 hours per week, you will assist with general repairs and upkeep of communal areas to ensure residents have a positive living experience.

The role requires basic plumbing, painting, carpentry and the ability to work independently. You will replace fixtures and light bulbs, conduct routine safety checks and respond promptly to maintenance

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance operative or facilities role.
• Basic plumbing, painting and carpentry skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general maintenance and repair work across the accommodation site
• Basic plumbing, painting, decorating and carpentry tasks
• Replacing fixtures, fittings and light bulbs as required
• Conducting routine safety and maintenance checks
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Ensuring communal areas remain safe, tidy and well maintained
• Supporting the wider facilities team with planned and reactive maintenance
