Job summary

Ritz Recruitment is seeking a proactive multi-skilled Maintenance Operative in Manchester (M15) to join a busy student accommodation team. You will manage planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to keep the estate safe, compliant, and well-presented.

Responsibilities include responding to requests, carrying out plumbing, decorating and joinery tasks, inspecting rooms and common areas, and maintaining maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance/handyman/multi-skilled labourer experience.
• Strong practical skills across general maintenance disciplines.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests via internal systems.
• Carry out general repairs including plumbing, decorating and joinery.
• Support reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Conduct inspections of rooms and communal areas.

We are looking for a proactive multi skilled Maintenance Operative to assist the team of a busy student accommodation. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an outstanding living experience by ensuring all maintenance and repair requests within the accommodation are handled efficiently and effectively.

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance, ensuring the estate remains safe, compliant, and well-presented at all times.

Duties:

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests via internal systems
• Carry out general repairs, including plumbing, decorating, joinery
• Support both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and communal areas
• Identify and address maintenance issues and health & safety risks
