Ritz Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive Maintenance Operative in Cardiff to support a busy student accommodation. You will handle maintenance requests, perform repairs, and participate in preventative maintenance to keep the estate safe and presentable.

Responsibilities include responding to requests, carrying out plumbing, decorating and joinery tasks, and ensuring compliant records and effective communication with residents.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance/handyman/trade experience.
• Strong practical skills across maintenance disciplines.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Reliable and self-motivated with ownership of work.

£15h + Hol pay, Tools Provided, Static role.

We are looking for a proactive multi skilled Maintenance Operative to assist the team of a busy student accommodation. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an outstanding living experience by ensuring all maintenance and repair requests within the accommodation are handled efficiently and effectively.

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance, ensuring the estate remains safe, compliant, and well-presented at all times.

Duties:

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests via internal systems
• Carry out general repairs, including plumbing, decorating, joinery
• Support both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and communal areas
• Identify and address maintenance issues and health & safety risks

• Communicate clearly and effectively across teams and with residents
