Job summary

Ritz Recruitment in Coventry is seeking a Part Time Maintenance Technician/Handyman to support a busy student accommodation. The role offers £15ph with 20 hours per week across 4 days and an immediate start. You will perform reactive repairs and routine upkeep to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in domestic maintenance, including plumbing, joinery and carpentry, and can work well solo or in a team while prioritising health and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience in domestic/residential settings.
• Experience with basic plumbing, joinery and carpentry.
• Ability to work in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive maintenance tasks to high quality standards.
• Perform basic plumbing, joinery and carpentry.
• Move furniture and heavy items.
• Maintain lighting and undertake statutory testing.
• Respond to health and safety matters.
• Manage and update maintenance reports.
• Monitor stock levels and notify when orders needed.
