Job summary

ISS is seeking a maintenance professional in the United Kingdom (Lancashire) to perform both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across fabric, plumbing and carpentry. The role includes supporting contractor management and ensuring health and safety compliance, delivering high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Candidates will have strong experience in building fabric maintenance, fault-finding, and FM environments, with knowledge of risk assessments and method

Qualifications

• Strong experience in building fabric maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Fault-finding and maintenance across plumbing, carpentry and general building fabric disciplines.
• Experience delivering reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Experience within Facilities Management (FM) or similar building services environments.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety processes, including risk assessments and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fabric-related PPM and reactive maintenance works issued through the helpdesk.
• Complete plumbing, carpentry, and general fabric repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks.
• Undertake exterior building and ground works maintenance duties.
• Respond to maintenance callouts as part of the callout rota.
• Monitor contractors and their workmanship to ensure required standards are achieved.
• Issue and manage Permits to Work where required.
• Ensure equipment within the scope of responsibility operates to specified performance criteria.
• Maintain equipment and surrounding areas in line with agreed company standards.
• Deliver a professional service that promotes customer satisfaction and reflects positively on the company.
