Vita Student in Lewisham is seeking a Handy Person to keep our premium student residences safe and well-maintained. This customer-facing role covers painting, decorating, plumbing and general repairs, with a focus on keeping building standards to the highest level.

You will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, 42.5 hours per week, permanent full-time, in a lively, multicultural setting across Vita's UK residences, supported by a structured induction and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Professional Painting & Decorating expereince.
• Experienced delivering preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance
• Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions
• Well-versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.
• Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures.

• Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and performing scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintaining the bin store area.
• General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
• Performing minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.
• Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass-cutting & hedge-trimming/shaping and jet-washing.
• Safety compliance.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.

Salary: £30,000 per annum plus generous benefits (please see below)

Contract: Permanent, full-time. A minimum commitment of 42.5 hours per week

Required Days of Work: Monday - Friday
