Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor in Ashford. The role involves leading from the front while staying actively involved in production tasks. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, drive efficiency and uphold quality standards on site.

The position requires a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Salary is up to £34,000 with an early Friday finish and occasional Saturdays during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on supervisor with the ability to lead from the front.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, production or fresh produce environments.
• Willingness to work alongside the team and adapt to outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Organise the team and delegate daily tasks effectively.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and production running.
• Provide training, support and motivation to team members.
• Manage agency labour during peak periods.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained at each production stage.
• Maintain smooth workflow and efficient use of labour.
• Plan labour requirements and liaise with recruitment agencies.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are followed across the site.
• Review and update risk assessments with the Production Director.
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvements.
