Job summary

New Appointments Group in Ashford is seeking an Operations & Dispatch Supervisor to lead a hands-on team in our FMCG operations. A full UK driving licence is required, and some outdoor site duties may apply.

Salary is up to £34,476 with Mon‑Fri hours and an early finish on Fridays; alternate Saturdays may be required during peak. You will organise the team, oversee daily production, train staff, manage agency labour at peak times and ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Supervisor, Line Leader, Shift Lead or Team Leader.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing/production.
• Full UK driving licence; willing to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Organise the team and delegate daily tasks.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and production.
• Provide training, support and motivation to team members.
• Manage agency labour during peak periods.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production.
• Maintain smooth workflow and efficient use of labour.
• Plan labour requirements and liaise with recruitment agencies.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards and procedures are followed on site.
• Review and update risk assessments with Production Director.
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvements.
