Staffbase Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineering Manager on behalf of a major recycling/heavy industry site near Selby. This role requires hands-on leadership to supervise a small maintenance team and external contractors, delivering planned and reactive maintenance, CAPEX projects and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will hold an electrical engineering qualification (HNC/degree) with IOSH/NEBOSH training preferred, and be proficient with CMMS and SAP.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industry/manufacturing/industrial sectors.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Staffing, training and contractor coordination experience.
• Proven track record with PM/maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activities and some commissioning and CAPEX projects.
• Develop, implement and maintain a PPM system.
• Manage a small team of maintenance engineers and external contractors.
• Plan and control maintenance activities and engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with legal and HSE requirements.
